A series of brushes made from plants and natural fibers collected around Onishi, Gunma Prefecture, during a residency in Japan. Traditional Japanese brush-making techniques were learned from local makers, ranging from tatami cleaning brushes to painting brushes. This knowledge was then used to develop a series of tools for glazing and creating different textures and brushstrokes on ceramic surfaces.
